In relation to fasting, can I have several homelands at the same time?

Question:

If I live in Ottawa, and I have lived in Beirut for 8-9 months now, could I have my village/parent’s village and the rest as watans (homelands) also?

Answer:

Your parents’ place of birth could be your Watan on the condition that they have not turned away from it, and you live with them. So, if you live separate and indepenent from them, or they have turned away from that village (such that they don’t have any intention of living there anymore), then it is not your Watan.
