Question:

If a young female was married to a guy by her parents while she didn’t accept back in her country, and she came back to America, and she doesn’t want anything to do with him, what can she do? In surah An Nisa it is said that no female can be forced by her parent to get married to someone she doesn’t want. So with that being said does that mean she is not married to him at all because the Quran says it’s haram?

Answer:

A marriage is not valid if the wife did not consent to it, especially if she did not even know about it when it occurred.
