Despite some bad channels, can one still get pay-TV solely for the halal content?

Question:

In Australia there are pay TV companies where people pay to get extra channels on their TV. Some of these channels have lewd and inappropriate material. If a person pays for pay TV solely to watch sports channels and documentaries etc… is this still haram? He can choose to lock or not receive the lewd or inappropriate channels but his monthly subscription fee is a general one that goes towards a range of channels including those with haram material.

Answer:

As long as there is a Halal (permissible) use for it then its fine, given the payer’s intention is for Halal use only.
