Can one perform tayammum in lieu of a ghusl due to allergies for the Fajr Prayer?

Question:

I have cold allergy problems. Whenever I perform obligatory bath before salatul fajar, I get cold, sneezing, fever and other allergic symptoms. Can I perform tayammum instead of obligatory ghusl before going to mosque? Then after sunrise at a convenient time that do not affect my allergies, I want to perform the obligatory ghusl. Is it allowed in Islamic shariah?

Answer:

If you judge that performing Ghusl early in the morning is harmful to your health, then you can perform tayammum and your prayer done with that tayammum will be valid. Of course, you have to wash any najasah that is on your body with water, and you must perform the ghusl whenever possible.
