Question:

If a girl is in her periods and she goes to Quran classes, is she allowed to touch the Quran?

Answer:

One must be in a state of ritual purity and be in wudhu before touching the ayat (words and letters) of the Quran. For a sister in her periods, she can read the Quran, however she cannot touch the writing as she is in a state of ritual impurity (unless she uses gloves or a tissue to avoid skin contact with the ayat).  Also, she should not recite the four Surah that have obligatory Sajdah (prostration), i.e. Surahs 32, 41, 53, 96.
